The winter issue of Livin’ it! is available to pick up now from locations throughout the borough.
Livin’ it! is an eight page quarterly newsletter from NHS Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale Clinical Commissioning Group (HMR CCG), which updates people about local healthcare services and offers insight into the CCG’s decision-making role.
In this edition, we bring you news of a local school visit to the Kirkholt Health Centre site where the children were able to have a look at the construction work taking place, also included are tips and advice on how you can stay well this winter and how you can become a dementia friend with Healthwatch Rochdale.
You will also find stories on a new website that provides information on hundreds of the best apps to improve health and wellbeing, local GP practices achieving gold standard in Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) healthcare. There is also a spotlight on sepsis article along with information on ‘safe after school’ ensuring you know the right questions to ask.
Denise Dawson, Vice Chair of Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale Clinical Commissioning Group (HMR CCG), said: We’re committed to engaging with local people about the type of healthcare services they want to see in the borough, and this newsletter is a big part of feeding back on what we are doing and how we are continually trying to improve healthcare throughout the borough and raise awareness of local and national campaigns.”
Public and patient engagement is extremely important to us and we encourage your feedback about any general healthcare issues. One way to do this is through our bi-monthly Governing Body meetings and quarterly Primary Care Commissioning Committee meetings, these can be found in the diary dates section on page 7. Please be aware that times for our Governing Body meetings have changed and they now begin at 9.30am for one hour, further information on page three.
Copies of Livin’ it! are available to pick up from your local GP Practice, pharmacy, optician, dental practice, library, children’s centre and other outlets.
The spring issue of Livin’ it! will be out in March 2020.
