The spring issue of Livin' it! is available to pick up now from locations throughout the borough.
Livin' it! is a quarterly newsletter from NHS Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), which updates people about local healthcare services and offers insight into the CCG’s decision-making role.
In this edition, Rochdale residents can learn about the CCG’s ‘have your say’ Locality Plan engagement event held at the end of March in partnership with Rochdale Borough Council. There is also a feature on the crucial roles that Rochdale Infirmary’s Urgent Care Centre and the new HEATT emergency response car are playing in improving patient care in Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale and avoiding unnecessary hospital admissions.
In this issue patients can find details of how to book GP and nurse appointments in the evening, at weekends and on bank holidays at extended hours hubs at four locations across the borough. There is also news of the free text message appointment reminder service being rolled out across GP practices in the Rochdale borough and new transport links from Littleborough, Milnrow and Middleton to local hospitals.
Dr Chris Duffy, local GP and HMR CCG Chair, said: “Livin’ it! is an important part of the work we do to engage with local people about the kinds of healthcare services they want to see in the borough, help them to understand our organisation’s work and feed back to them on what we are doing.”
Copies of Livin' it! are available to pick up from your local GP practice, dental practice, library, pharmacy, children’s centre and other outlets.
