NHS Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale Clinical Commissioning Group’s (HMR CCG) Governing Body is meeting on Friday 18th March and, as always, members of the public are invited to attend.

St Andrews Church, Entwisle Road, Rochdale will host the CCG’s Governing Body meeting, this month.

The Governing Body (or Board) meetings are where discussions and decisions take place about official CCG business, and the planning and funding of local health services. Discussions include everything from new projects, to current policies and which local health services will be commissioned.

Public questions are welcome and can either be submitted in advance, through the online form on the CCG’s website (http://www.hmr.nhs.uk/index.php/about/hmr-ccg-gb), or asked during the open questions slot at beginning of each meeting.

It is requested that any one submitting questions, in advance of the Governing Body meeting, does so at least 24 hours before the meeting commences. This will allow sufficient time for the question to be picked up and processed, before the meeting takes place.

The next meeting takes place as follows:

Date: Friday 18th March

Time: 10.30am-1pm

Venue: St Andrews Church, Entwisle Road, Rochdale, OL16 2HZ

At the Friday 18th meeting, attendees can expect to hear updates on quality, finance and performance as well as decisions concerning the Rochdale Infirmary Strategy and Children’s Services Procurement.

Dr Chris Duffy, local GP and Chair of NHS HMR CCG, said:

“As an accountable NHS organisation, we have a duty to make sure what we do and how we make our decisions is accessible to the people of Rochdale. After all, it’s your health services we are planning.”

“We regularly welcome several members of the public to our meetings, and I would encourage anyone who would like to find out more about what the Clinical Commissioning Group is about, and how decisions are made, to attend one of our meetings.”

To help make sure decisions and comments made at the meeting are accessible to local people, we tweet live from all governing body meetings. You can follow the CCG, and Governing Body meeting proceedings, on Twitter at @NHSHMR.

The agenda and papers for the meeting will be available on the ‘About Us’ section of our website, www.hmr.nhs.uk in advance of the meeting.

Responses to previous public questions, and a full schedule of Governing Body meetings, can also be found on the Governing Body pages of our website.
