NHS Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale Clinical Commissioning Group (HMR CCG) is holding its next Governing Body meeting on Friday 20 March 2020.
In light of the current situation with COVID19, on this occasion we are kindly requesting that members of the public do not attend due to the current national guidance advising social distancing measures are put in place and avoiding non-essential travel.
The agenda and papers for the meeting can be found on the Governing Body page of our website to read and instead of attending the meeting we would encourage members of the public to follow us on Twitter @NHSHMR for live tweets giving an overview of items being discussed and decisions made.
If you were planning to attend the Governing Body meeting to submit a question you can still submit your question by completing our online form here or by calling 01706 652853, 24 hours in advance of the meeting. This allows sufficient time for the question to be picked up and processed.
The Governing Body meeting, which will be held at Number One Riverside in Rochdale, is a meeting where official business is discussed and formal decisions are made about everything from policies to which health services will be commissioned. Among the items on the meeting agenda are updates on opening budgets, the green plan, Kirkholt development and the joint Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) strategy.
Dr Chris Duffy, Local GP and Chair of NHS HMR CCG, said: “We understand how important it is for local people to get involved in local health services but on this occasion in line with national guidance we feel minimising the number of attendees at this statutory meeting is critical for the safety and well-being of the public and staff attending. We encourage members of the public to follow us on Twitter for updates on decisions made at the meeting.”
If you have any questions you would have asked the Chair outside the meeting (that you may not necessarily want minuting or publishing with the minutes) please contact Helen Chapman, Governing Body Secretary by email on email@example.com or phone 01706 652153.
