As the current CCG’s Chair’s second term of office ends shortly (a Chair can do up to three terms), the CCG is required to undertake a selection process, in accordance with the CCG’s Standing Orders to appoint a Chair for the next 3 years.

We are therefore seeking an exceptional individual to undertake the role of Clinical Chair of NHS Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale (HMR) CCG and the Governing Body, from May 2019. This is an exciting opportunity, open to all eligible HMR GPs, including the incumbent post holder, to shape and further develop the CCG.

The CCG Chair will provide clinical leadership and enable the delivery of whole system improvements to meet the health needs of the people of HMR. One of the key senior leaders within HMR’s Health and Social Care system, the Chair of the CCG will use their unique clinical skills, knowledge and expertise to make changes which make sense to patients and clinical colleagues.

Potential candidates must demonstrate evidence of their ability to build strong working relationships with a range of stakeholders and their passion about delivering high quality and accessible health care services.

If you have the energy and enthusiasm to support the CCG to transform clinical commissioning and to deliver whole system improvements for its population, we’d like to hear from you.
